There are 2 types of the Kaunas public transport tikcets:

1. Single ride paper tickets. Single ride paper tickets can be bought in the newspaper kiosk that are located all around the city, most often next to the bus stops (must be validated on board) or purchased from the bus/trolleybus driver  (must not be validated on board).   

2. Periodic eletronic tickets (E. ticket).  E. tickets can be bought in the newspaper kiosk that are located all around the city, most often next to the bus stops, also in "MAXIMA" and "ŠILAS" shoping centers. Electronic ticket is not to be validated separately as it is already valid for a whole period. At the moment there are 3 days, 7 days, 1 month and 3 months validity E. tickets.
