Taxi

In the event of a suspicion that a taxi driver tries to deceive you, asking for greater amounts for a trip, a passenger has to request a receipt in which must be specified travel start and end points and the running time and mileage , taxi car number and price of the journey. A taxi driver must issue a receipt if it is required by the passenger. A passenger who wants to complain for a taxi driver service, must deliver taxi voucher to Kaunas City Municipality, Transport Division and traffic planning divisio (St. Gertrude St 7, tel. 20 00 21; 20 00 09).

We would like to point out that on the front of the car panel must be set out a card with a taxi service fares, the carrier and the driver's details and driver's photograph.

There are 31 offcialy registered taxi company in Kaunas city.
